I've been prescribed Xylocaine-Mpf/epinephrine Inj, 20ml for an upcoming minor surgery. I've never had lidocaine with epinephrine before. I'm a bit anxious about the possible side effects. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this combo? How did it work for you? Also, can anyone confirm if it's normal to worry about the serious side effects listed? I'm just a bit concerned about the potential for severe reactions. I'm hoping to hear from people who've used this before and can offer some reassurance or advice.

If you're worried, talk to your doctor. They can explain everything in detail and answer any questions you have. That's what they're there for.

I had this for a wisdom tooth extraction and it was fine. Just a bit of tingling afterward. No big deal.

I had this for a minor surgery and it worked great. No issues at all. Just a bit of numbness afterward, but that's expected.

The epinephrine in it can be a bit alarming. It's there to help control bleeding and make the numbing last longer. It's totally normal to be nervous, but trust your doctor. They know what they're doing.

Had a bad reaction to the epinephrine once. Felt like my heart was racing out of my chest. Scary stuff. But that was a one-off experience.

Lidocaine and epinephrine are a common combo. The epinephrine makes the lidocaine last longer. Just make sure you're not sensitive to either.

I had this for a dental procedure and it was fine. The numbing lasted a long time, which was convenient. But I did feel a bit jittery afterward. I think it was the epinephrine. It was weird, but not terrible.

Seriously, though, if you experience any of the urgent side effects, get to a doctor ASAP. It's rare, but better safe than sorry.
