I recently had a minor surgery done with the stuff called Xylocaine-Mpf/epinephrine Inj, 10ml. It did a great job numbing the area, but I'm worried about some of the more severe side effects. The doc warned me about things like allergic reactions and methemoglobinemia, but I want to be sure I know what to look out for. Has anybody else had issues with this stuff or know someone who has? Let me know what I should be keeping an eye on.

I had a procedure with lidocaine before and it was great. I had a bit of a funny taste in my mouth, but nothing major. I would recommend asking for a full list of side effects from your doctor, but your doc is right to be cautious.

I had this for a spinal procedure and it was great for the pain, but I had some weird sensations afterwards. Glad I wasn't driving, because I felt shaky and confused for a while. I can't remember exactly what the doctor said to call my doctor for, but it's probably good to know what to call the doctor for if it happens to you.

I'm an anesthesiologist and I can tell you that while these side effects are rare, you should definitely be aware of them. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, like hives or trouble breathing, seek immediate medical attention. Same goes for symptoms of methemoglobinemia, like blue discoloration of the skin. These can be serious.

Hey, I had a procedure with this stuff and it was great. No side effects, but I did feel a bit lightheaded afterwards. My doctor warned me about some pretty serious stuff, so I guess it's good to be aware of that. Just be sure to ask your doctor about any questions you have.

I had some bad reactions to similar drugs, so I always ask for the full list of side effects. I think you're right to be cautious and prepared.

Be extra careful if you're pregnant or have a known allergy to this drug. I know someone who experienced some severe reactions, just be extra cautious.

I had a procedure with this and experienced no issues, but I did feel a bit lightheaded afterwards. I'm sure a lot of folks here will be talking about how they've handled side effects. Feel free to ask more questions.
