Just had my first MRI with Elucirem contrast agent - any similar experiences?
Hi everyone, I recently had an MRI with Elucirem 7.5mmol/15ml Pf Syr, 15ml contrast agent. The doctor said it would help get clearer images of my spine. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else had this done? What was your experience like? Did you have any side effects?

Dude, I was so scared when they told me they were using a contrast agent. The nurse said it's common and usually safe, but I still felt anxious. Glad I didn't have any side effects.
Had an MRI last year with this stuff. I got a rash a few days later, turned out to be an allergic reaction. I went back and they switched me to a different contrast agent. Just make sure to keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms!
I had an MRI with Elucirem a few months back. Zero issues—I didn’t feel anything unusual. I was also a bit worried about kidney problems, especially since I have a family history, but the doctor assured me that it was safe for me.
With any contrast agent, it's important to stay hydrated before and after the procedure. Kidney problems are a real risk, especially for those with preexisting conditions. Just make sure to drink plenty of water.
