I recently had a surgery and the anesthesiologist used Ultiva (Remifentanil) during the procedure. I've never heard of this drug before and was a bit concerned about the side effects listed. Has anyone else had experience with this drug? I want to know what to expect during recovery. The hospital staff said it would wear off quickly, but I'm still feeling a bit groggy. Any insights would be appreciated.

I had this during my surgery and it worked wonders for pain management. I didn't experience any major side effects, but everyone is different. If you're feeling groggy, give it some time to wear off completely.

Make sure to report any severe side effects to your doctor right away. This stuff can be serious if not monitored properly.

I work in healthcare and have seen this drug used a lot. It's great for short procedures because it wears off so fast. Just take it easy for the rest of the day and you should be back to normal soon.

I think the hospital should be giving people more info on these drugs. I had no idea what to expect and it was scary. Make sure to ask lots of questions if you can.
