Hi everyone, my 5-year-old was just prescribed Budesonide 0.5mg/2ml Vials to manage their asthma. The doctor said it's to prevent attacks and help with long-term symptoms. I've never used a nebulizer before, and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this? Any tips or things to watch out for?

Parents, don't worry. Budesonide is pretty safe and effective for kids. Just be on the lookout for any signs of infection or allergic reactions. If you notice anything unusual, call your doctor right away.

I'm not a fan of giving kids steroids, but the doctor assured me that inhaled steroids like Budesonide are different. They stay mostly in the lungs and don't affect the rest of the body as much. It's a relief to know that.

I had to switch my kid from Budesonide to something else because of some side effects. Just pay close attention and don't hesitate to talk to your doctor if you have concerns.

I remember when my son started on it, he hated the nebulizer. But we made it fun with a few stickers and he got used to it.
