I was just prescribed Clinolipid 20% 0.2g/1ml Inj, 1000ml and I'm not sure what to expect. This is the first time I've ever needed something like this given intravenously to provide my body with energy and essential fats since I can't eat normally. The doctor said it will help keep my body healthy and functioning, but I'm concerned about the potential side effects. I'm trying to figure out what to expect and if anyone has been through this before. It's incredibly worrying. I've read about the serious side effects and they are pretty daunting. Has anyone experienced any of these? Also, what are some of the milder side effects that might crop up? Any advice would be appreciated.

I think it's great for providing essential nutrients you can't get otherwise, but what about a follow-up routine if you have no appetite? I think the side effects are manageable but you just have to know what to do for them if they happen.

I was on Clinolipid for a while after a bad bout of pancreatitis. The serious side effects are rare, but you should definitely keep an eye out for them. Constantly check for signs of breathing problems, liver issues, or infections. Clinolipid does the job, but you have to be vigilant.

I haven't faced any major issues while taking Clinolipid. I did get a few bruises at the injection site, but my nurse assured me it was normal. Keep an open line of communication with your healthcare team.

Did your doctor give you any specific diet or activity restrictions while on Clinolipid? I was on a pretty strict regimen and it made a big difference in how I tolerated the medication. I don’t think it helped my upset stomach, but it definitely made my nausea go away.

Honestly, I got through it just fine. Don't let the list of side effects freak you out too much. Most people don't experience these.

I had some concerns about the injection site, but my nurse was thorough and made sure it was sterile. I didn't have any issues. Make sure your healthcare provider is experienced. Definitely keep a close eye on how the site looks.

I hope it helps you feel better soon! Clinolipid was a game-changer for me when I was having trouble eating.
