Just prescribed Keflex 125mg/5ml Susp 100ml for my kid's ear infection.Anyone have experience with this?
I'm a bit nervous about giving my little one antibiotic. The prescription says it's for ear infections, but I'm worried about the side effects mentioned. Has anyone else had experience with Keflex 125mg/5ml Susp 100ml? How did your kid react to it? Any tips for making the suspension easier to take? I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing and any advice, especially from parents who have been there, would be super helpful.

I had a friend who had a severe reaction to this medication. She ended up in the hospital so be very careful and watch for any signs of an allergic reaction.
Ugh, the struggle is real. My daughter hated the taste but we powered through. She felt better in no time.
Why are antibiotics always so hard to get down? I mixed ours with a little bit of juice to make it more palatable. Worked like a charm!
My kiddo had diarrhea and vomiting, but it wasn’t too bad. Just keep plenty of fluids on hand and you should be fine.
I'm an RN and have seen a few cases where Keflex caused some pretty nasty side effects. But most of the time, it's fine. Just monitor closely and if anything seems off, call your doc.
