I was just prescribed Loteprednol 0.5% Opth Susp 10ml eye drops after my recent cataract surgery. My doctor said it will help with inflammation and pain, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else used this? How was your experience? Any tips for using it effectively? Also, how do you handle the common side effects like blurred vision or dry eyes? I want to make sure I'm using it correctly and managing any issues that come up.

I had some weird blurriness when I first started using it but it went away after a few days. Don't worry too much about it unless it persists.

I had a really bad reaction to these drops. My eye turned red and swollen, and I had to stop using them immediately.

I found that using these drops made my eyes really dry. I had to use artificial tears throughout the day to keep them comfortable. It was a bit of a hassle, but it was worth it to get rid of the inflammation. How did you manage dryness?

Remember, if you experience any severe side effects like eye pain or changes in vision, go to the doctor right away. It's better to be safe.

I used Loteprednol after my LASIK surgery and it worked wonders. Just be careful not to touch the dropper to your eye or face to avoid contamination.

I had a similar experience, but my doctor switched me to a different corticosteroid and it worked fine. Everyone's different, so if you have issues, talk to your doctor.

I think the instructions say to shake the bottle before using it. What you ladies think?

Be prepared for some initial discomfort. The burning sensation is annoying but it should subside quickly. And wear sunglasses if you're sensitive to light - it helps a lot.

I just started using these and I feel like there's something in my eye all the time. Is that normal?

Make sure to use it as prescribed, even if your symptoms improve. Stopping too early can lead to a recurrence of inflammation. Trust me, I learned that the hard way.
