Just prescribed Nystatin/Triamcinolone Cream for skin fungus. What to expect?
I've been given Nystatin/Triamcinolone Cream 30gm for a fungal infection with inflammation. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones like allergic reactions or signs of high blood sugar. Has anyone else used this cream? What was your experience like? How long did it take to see improvements? I'm also curious about the steroid component—will it make my skin thin over time? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!

I used this cream for a yeast infection on my skin and it worked great! No serious side effects, just a bit of itching at first. Give it a few days to see if it improves
I thought the same thing about the steroid component. My doctor assured me that as long as I use it as directed and not for extended periods, I should be fine. But I'll keep an eye out for any thickening of the skin.
I had no idea this cream had a steroid in it. I'm going to have to talk to my doctor about it - I don't want to use something that can cause long term skin issues.
I used this cream for jock itch and it cleared up within a week. No side effects at all. Just make sure to keep the area clean and dry.
Be careful with the steroid part, it can thin your skin if used for too long. Might want to ask your doctor about alternatives if you have to use it for more than a week or so.
I've used this a few times from fungal issues, never had any serious side effects, just stick to the instructions and you'll be fine.
I've seen this cream help a lot of people with fungal infections, just make sure to apply it as directed and keep an eye out for side effects.
I think people forget it's important to use the cream for the time prescribed even if you feel better sooner. I stopped using it too soon and my fungal infection came back.
I had a bad reaction to the steroid in this cream. I broke out in hives and my skin got so thin it felt like it would tear, so be cautious. Make sure to read the list of more dangerous side effects and actually pay attention if they show up.
