So I just got prescribed Clindamycin 900mg/6ml Inj, 6ml to treat my severe bacterial infection. This is my first time receiving an intravenous antibiotic, and I'm curious to know what to expect. How common are the side effects, especially the serious ones? Does anyone have experience using this antibiotic via injection? How was your experience? The side effects can be severe but it did wonders for the infection that I had. It cleared up my infection in a matter of days. I was lucky that I didn't have any major side effects. Don't hesitate to take it if it's what the doctor ordered.
It is so important to stay hydrated. You should be drinking plenty of water while getting the treatment. It's going to make a difference.
If you notice any severe side effects like yellowing of the skin, swelling or any form of skin reactions, don’t wait till they get worse to see a doctor, please. You might develop a severe skin reaction that is life-threatening.
it really depends on the person. Generally, it should be fine. If you have any issues, you should inform your doctor as soon as you can.
I had to stop taking it because of diarrhea. I heard that this tends to be a common symptom. Not sure when it's serious enough to consult the doctor about.
