I just got prescribed Numbrino 40mg/ml Nasal Sol 10ml for an upcoming nasal endoscopy. My doctor said it's supposed to numb the area and reduce bleeding, but the side effects list is a bit intimidating. Has anyone else used this? I'm wondering if the side effects are as bad as they sound, or if it's usually a smooth process. Also, are there any tips for using it? I've seen it's a nasal spray, but is there a special technique or anything to make the process less uncomfortable?

Numbrino is a form of cocaine, used medically for this purpose. You can read up on how it works, but don't ask about recreational use here.

Use an antibiotic ointment in your nostrils before the procedure if you can. It helps a lot with the discomfort and potential swelling.

There are some interesting reviews on this online. Most people say it works well, but a few have had severe reactions. Just be aware of the risks.

How does it compare to other numbing agents used in nasal procedures? I've had lidocaine and it worked fine. I wonder if this is just as effective?

I had a similar procedure and used Numbrino. It worked well for me, but I did experience a bit of a headache afterward. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
