I've been prescribed Sodium Chloride 2.5meq/ml Inj, 40ml for some severe dehydration. From what I understand, it's much stronger than regular IV fluids. Has anyone had any experience with this specific concentration? How does it compare to other saline solutions, and what should I watch out for, besides the obvious side effects? I tried reading all the medical jargon but it's still a bit overwhelming.

I'm a nurse and I've administered this many times. It's typically used for specific situations like yours. Just keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction or electrolyte problems.

I can't believe they are giving you such a strong dose. Are you sure it's not hazardous?

I had an IV with a similar concentration. The burning at the injection site was pretty bad. Be ready for that.

I had a similar experience. My doctor mentioned it was important to monitor my electrolyte levels closely after the treatment.

I've had this before during a hospital stay. It's strong stuff, but it did the job. Just make sure to stay hydrated afterwards.

Be careful with this one. I've seen it cause some pretty bad reactions in people. Make sure you're in a place where they can monitor you.

I hope everything goes well for you! Feel free to update us on how it goes. I've heard mixed experiences.

Sounds intense. Make sure you're in a medical setting when you get this. Better safe than sorry.
