Hi all, I've just been prescribed Tranexamic Acid 100mg/ml Inj, 10ml to help stop some bleeding issues I've been having. The doctor explained it helps with blood clotting, but I'm curious about everyone's experiences with it. Has anyone used it before? What were your experiences like? Any side effects to watch out for? I've read through the basics, but I'd love to hear some real-life stories and tips. Thanks in advance!

I had to use this after an injury and it worked like a charm. However, I had some twitching and trouble controlling my body like the description mentioned. It was a bit scary, so always be aware.

Could be worse! Just remember that if you experience any signs of a blood clot, it's crucial to seek medical attention immediately -- it could save your life. Always have a trusted person around when you use the injection to help you out.

I've never used Tranexamic Acid, but I've used other clotting agents and definitely experienced some GI issues like upset stomach and vomiting. I kind of dreaded taking them after a while, but they were worth it for the benefit.

I've never heard of it. My question is why it's an injection? Why not just take a pill?

Make sure to monitor for any signs of allergic reactions, especially if you have a history of allergies.

The side effects are a bit concerning, but my doctor told me that they are rare so I didn't worry too much. I had absolutely no issues with it. Be sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have.

I had a friend who used this for postpartum bleeding and she had a bit of dizziness and nausea but said it was worth it. Make sure to stay hydrated and keep your doctor posted on any symptoms.

It's typically used in emergency situations where oral medication might not be absorbed quickly enough. For instance, it's commonly used in trauma settings or during surgeries to control bleeding. There are pill versions too, so maybe your doctor wanted faster results?

Ugh, more injections? I hate needles. But if it helps with the bleeding, I guess it's worth it. Just remember to stay calm and breathe when you get it.
