Just received an injection of Erythrom Lac 500mg, wanted to know about side effects
I was just given Erythrom Lac 500mg injection in the hospital for a bacterial infection. The doctor didn't go into much detail about the side effects. I just wanted to know if anyone here has had any unusual side effects, or what common side effects I should expect. I'm a bit worried about everything I've read so far and just want to know what to expect. My doctor mentioned it has life-threatening side effects, which is really concerning to me. Has anyone else experienced this?

I actually Joked with my nurse that I'd be fine if I got a rash, but not funny when it happened. Just listen to your body!
Be careful with this one. I had a severe allergic reaction and ended up in the ER. Make sure you're getting medical attention if you notice any unusual symptoms.
I've had this before. The irritation at the injection site was pretty bad, but otherwise, I felt okay. Just make sure to tell your doctor if you experience anything else.
Did your doctor mention anything about potential hearing loss? I've heard that can be a side effect, especially if you have kidney problems.
I had this back in college and the only side effect I got was some mild diarrhea. It wasn't fun, but it wasn't too bad but be prepared for it.
Side effects can vary a lot from person to person. Just keep an eye out for the serious ones and you should be okay.
I had some minor stomach upset, but nothing too bad. Just listen to your body and report anything unusual to your doctor.
