I just received an injection of Levothyroxine 500mg/5ml as I was diagnosed with severe hypothyroidism. I've been on oral medication for a while, but due to an emergency situation, I needed the injection. I'm curious to know what the recovery might look like? What adverse symptoms do we need to look out for within the first 24hrs? Is anyone else on here on Levothyroxine injections? What has your experience been like?

Was it tough to administer? I've always been a bit squeamish about needles.

Hey there, I've had a similar experience. The first few hours were a bit rough for me, but it got better. Definitely keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction or high blood pressure as mentioned in the description. A severe headache or dizziness can indicate high blood pressure, so be mindful of that.

Don't worry, it's a good way to get your hormones back on track. I was in a similar situation, and I felt so much better after getting the shot.

I've been on the injectable for a few months now. It's a bit different from the oral meds, but it's manageable. Make sure to stay hydrated and monitor your blood pressure regularly.

Injectables can be a lifesaver in emergency situations. I had a friend who was in a myxedema coma and the injectable version of Levothyroxine brough them back from the brink. Definitely keep an eye out for the serious side effects, especially severe headaches, dizziness, or any signs of an allergic reaction.

I had to get the injection once, and if I'm being honest, it was a bit scary. I remember feeling unusually weak and having trouble sleeping. I'd say the worst symptoms came out within 24 to 48 hours. But don't worry, it settles down pretty quick. Stay close to your doctor.

I couldn't take the oral medication for a while due to some stomach issues, and the injectable was a game-changer for me. It was a bit intimidating at first, but it really helped stabilize my thyroid levels. I didn't experience any of the severe side effects, but I did notice some hair loss initially. It's a common side effect, and it usually resolves within a few months. I'd recommend staying in close contact with your healthcare provider and monitoring your symptoms closely. You'll definitely feel better in no time.

Wow, I didn't know they had an injectable version for emergencies. I'm usually on the pills. But yeah, keep an eye on your symptoms and if anything feels off, definitely get it checked ASAP.
