I just received a prescription for HepaGam B Inj, 1ml after a potential exposure to Hepatitis B. I've read the basic info—it's a shot with antibodies to protect against the virus—but I'm looking for some real-world insights. Has anyone else had experience with this? I'm particularly concerned about the side effects, especially the risk of blood clots if given intravenously. I'm not in a high-risk category for blood clots, but I want to be aware. Any advice on managing potential side effects like headache or injection site pain? Are there any tips for making the injection process smoother? I appreciate any input from those who've been through this! Thanks in advance.

Saw this post — i just got done with this shot. I got no side effects, but my friend did and she had a headache for a couple of days. Just take it easy for a while.

I got the shot and felt a bit tired the next day. Just took it easy and drank plenty of water. Feel lucky I had no serious issues.

This shot saved my wife. She got exposed to Hepatitis B and we were lucky to catch it in time. No side effects, just a bit of soreness at the injection site. We were relieved. Good luck!

I got this shot after a tattoo with a not-so-reputable artist. Scared the heck out of me, but the doctor assured me it was a precaution. I got lucky and didn't experience any side effects. Be vocal about any concerns you have. Doctors are there to help.
