I'm an Rh-negative expecting mom and my doc just prescribed Hyperrho S/d 50mcg Inj. I understand it's to prevent my immune system from attacking a potential Rh-positive baby. I've read up on the side effects and it seemed intense. I'm a bit worried. Are there any tips for making the shot more comfortable? What should I really be watching out for? Has anyone had issues with the severe lung problems or blood clots?

I had it a few years ago & had zero side effects. I felt perfectly normal all day. I didn't know anything about it beforehand. I wish they'd warned me about the possible side effects before I went in! I was high-risk for blood clots. I avoided blood clots by staying active during and after recovery. As an Rh-negative expectant dad, I had to make sure my partner had this shot. I didn't have a shot myself, but I did feel the emotional side effects. I'll be checking for any symptoms in her. I hope for her & baby's sake it won't be too bad.

I had brain fog after getting it. It lasted a few days but I'm sure it was worth it to keep my baby healthy. I would do it again in a heart beat if I needed to. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I needed to. A few days of brain fog for a healthy baby? Worth it.

I'm an Rh-negative gal, but I'm not pregnant. I'm not sure if it will work for me. Hyperrho S/d 50mcg is prescribed for Rh-negative individuals who have had certain medical procedures or are expecting. If I'm not expecting, will it still be necessary for me to use it?
