I recently had an unfortunate encounter with a rabid animal and was prescribed Kedrab Rabies Ig 150iu/ml Inj, 10ml, as well as rabies vaccination. The doctor explained that this medicine is made from human blood and contains antibodies to neutralize the virus at the bite site. My main concern is the possible side effects. The doctor mentioned that allergic reactions and infections are rare but can be severe. I'm also worried about blood clots, especially since I have a history of heart problems. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What were your side effects? Any tips on managing them? I just want to be prepared.

I got really scared when I had to get the post-exposure prophylaxis and ITIG but it was all part of the protocol. Just make sure to follow-up with your doctor and keep an eye on any unusual symptoms.

How exactly did you get bitten? And how long ago was it? I’m asking because I'm curious, but also because timing can affect the intensity of symptoms.

Rabies is no joke. I worked at an animal shelter and saw firsthand how dangerous it can be. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm not a doctor, but from what I understand, this medication is crucial for immediate protection against rabies. Just make sure to follow your doctor's advice to the letter. Good luck, and I hope you recover quickly!

Be really careful with allergies. I had a friend who had a severe reaction to a different immunoglobulin. Make sure you're in a medical setting when you get the injection, just in case.

I had to get this injection a few years ago after being bitten by a stray dog. The injection site was sore for a couple of days, but otherwise, I didn't experience any serious side effects. Make sure to stay hydrated and rest as much as possible.

I had this after a rabid raccoon attack. I was really scared. I had some headaches and muscle aches for a bit, but nothing too severe. Just take it easy and listen to your doctor.

I'm really sorry to hear about your encounter. Remember, this medication is given to neutralize the virus before your body’s immune response kicks in. So, it's normal to feel a little off. Just make sure to report any severe symptoms to your doctor right away.
