I've just received my Boosterrix 10 pack, and I wanted to share some insights and ask a few questions. I'm a bit nervous, as I've never had this shot before, let alone the diphtheria, tetanus & whooping cough combo. The cherry on top is I've heard mixed reviews about the side effects from friends. Looking around, I see many people having mild fevers and chills, while others have had more severe reactions, even seizures and fainting. I've also seen some experience abnormal sensations and changes in eyesight. Should I be worried about ending up with one of these severe side effects? I know they're rare, but I can't shake the feeling of unease. I guess I should just be prepared for anything, but it's hard not to feel a bit overwhelmed by all the info out there. Also, has anyone had any experience reporting side effects to the FDA/CDC Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)? I wasn't sure what to expect from that process either.

I had a bit of a panic attack after reading all the potential side effects. I actually pulled the trigger my first time, but refused to have the second round because I was so scared.

I felt the same way before I got mine, but everything went fine. You'll be okay. You got this

I had the shot a few months ago and didn't feel anything except a little soreness at the injection site. No fever, no chills, nothing. I think it varies from person to person, but you'll probably be fine. Good luck!

I got the shot last year. I actually had a severe reaction, I ended up with a high fever and abnormal sensory experiences. It was pretty scary, but it only lasted a day. I still think the vaccine is worthwhile, but be aware that severe reactions do happen. I did some reading and there are a few theories about the cause of these severe reactions, but the jury is still out.

I don't think I can do it. Too many bad reactions.
