I've been struggling with migraines for years and finally decided to give Dihydroergotamine a try. My doctor prescribed the 1mg/ml injection, and I'm both excited and nervous about trying it. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. How long does it typically take to feel the effects? Any tips for making the injection process smoother? Also, has anyone experienced any of the rare but serious side effects? I want to be prepared for anything. Thanks in advance for your insights!

Man, my mom swore by this stuff for her migraines. But she always had no clue what the side effects were. But she always recovered in 30 minutes. It was a bit of a struggle to get the shots and monitor her but it was worth the medicine.

I had a similar experience with DHE injections. It took about 30 minutes for the pain to start subsiding, and I felt a bit dizzy afterwards, but it was worth it. Just make sure you're sitting down when you take it because the dizziness can be a bit overwhelming. And listen to your doctor—if you feel any of those severe side effects, don't hesitate to go to the hospital. You are playing with your health, and safety should be your top concern.

This medication seems like a double-edged sword. It can provide immediate relief from migraines, but the potential side effects are terrifying. I'm not sure it's worth the risk. Does anyone have a less dangerous alternative they'd recommend?

Does anyone know if this medication has any long-term effects? I've read about the immediate side effects, but I'm more concerned about what happens after extended use.

I had to stop taking Dihydroergotamine because it increased my blood pressure to the point where I felt like I was going to pass out. I've switched to a different medication with fewer side effects, and I'm hoping it works for me. Just monitor your blood pressure and consult with your doctor before getting another shot.

I got this injection once and it worked like a charm, but I never tried it again because the hospital said it could have long term effects. I would do your research and consult with your doctor before making a decision. Medications don't always work the same way for everyone, so sometimes it's better to test different ones to see what works best.

I had a small rash after my first injection, but it went away within a couple of days. Doctors said it was just an allergic reaction but I might have felt better if I had known what to do. Just make sure to keep a close eye on how your body responds and consult with a doctor.

I've heard that Dihydroergotamine can cause some pretty nasty side effects. It is always a good idea to go in aware of those symptoms and know your body, so you can act in a timely manner and not pop back in for another shot and cause more damage.

The injections were a lifesaver for me. I used to get cluster headaches so bad that I couldn't function. The shots are easy to give to yourself once you get the hang of it. Just make sure you're in a comfortable position and have someone around just in case.

Just got my first DHE injection a week ago. I felt some relief, but I'm kinda worried about side effects. My doctor said it will all even out in the long run. Stay strong!
