I've been prescribed Albumin Hum 25% Inj, 100ml and I'm a bit nervous about it. I understand that it's a concentrated form of a natural protein found in the blood, but I'm not sure what to expect. Has anyone here had experience with this medication? I'm particularly worried about the possible side effects, especially the severe ones. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I've had to IV albumins a few times for some fluid issues I've had, and honestly, it's not pleasant but the results are good. Just make sure you stay calm and listen to your body. Upvoted

I've had this before after a serious bleed. It helped a lot, but I did feel a bit weak afterwards. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body. Upvoted

I work in a hospital and see this used all the time. It’s generally safe, but the side effects can be scary. Make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any changes you experience, even if they seem minor. Upvoted

I had something similar and felt really tired afterwards. Stay in bed and let your body rest. You'll be back to normal in no time! Upvoted

Albumin is a lifesaver in critical situations. Just be aware of the signs of an allergic reaction. If you feel any tightness in your chest or throat, get help immediately. Don't take any chances with this stuff. Upvoted

Had it after a bad car accident. It’s a bit freaky getting IVs but it helped a lot. Just take it easy for a few days afterwards. Upvoted

Signs of fluid and electrolyte problems are no joke. Keep a close eye on any mood changes or unusual fatigue. You can't be too careful with this stuff. Upvoted
