I've also undergone this. The nurses were excellent in managing the side effects but it was equally crucial for me to report any issues immediately. Just remember to be aware of any sudden changes in your body and communicate it to your team.
Also, how long does the injection take? I'm just curious to know how long this entire process will be.
I've had this before while on TPN. The injection site irritation was a bit annoying, but my nurse did a great job managing it. I'd recommend wearing comfortable clothing to access your vein. You'll be in the hospital anyway so I would suggest trying to get as much rest as you can.
Honestly, the injection itself is quick, but the whole IV process can take a bit of time. Make sure to stay hydrated and follow your doctor's advice closely. I had some redness at the injection site, but it went away after a few days. If you experience any severe symptoms, don't hesitate to call your doctor.
