I received Nabi-HB Injection, 5ml yesterday after an accidental exposure to infected blood. I understand it provides immediate, temporary protection against the Hepatitis B virus, but I'm unsure how long the protection lasts. I've read that it offers temporary, passive immunity, but I can't find the exact duration. I'm also curious about people's experiences with side effects. The information I've been given is limited and I'm concerned about the potential side effects. I have a history of allergies and I'm worried that the drug could cause some of the more serious side effects. I want to be prepared in case something goes wrong or if I need medical attention.

Be sure to report any side effects to your doctor. The FDA also has a system for reporting side effects, which can help others in the future. https://www.fda.gov/medwatch.

I was exposed to Hepatitis B after a blood transfusion. Nabi-HB Injection worked perfectly fine for me and I got through it without any issues. It is important to remember that the drug is a temporary solution and that long-term prevention requires other steps.

This thread is making me nervous. I had a similar injection after a tattoo but never had any side effects. Hopefully, y'all are good!

I had no idea this existed until I needed it. I'm glad I got it, but it's a bit scary to think about how easily you can be exposed to something like Hepatitis B.

I work in a lab and had to get this after an accident. The protection lasted for about 2 months for me. Make sure to follow up with your doctor and get the vaccine series if you haven't already. The injection is just a temporary fix.

I had to get this after a needle stick injury at work. The protection can last up to 4-6 months, depending on the individual. But it's temporary, so you should definitely follow up with a Hepatitis B vaccine series to ensure long-term protection.

I got this injection after my mom told me she had Hepatitis B. The doctor said it would last for about a month, but I've heard it can vary. Keep an eye out for any side effects, especially the allergic reactions. I had a bit of a headache and muscle pain, but it wasn't too bad.
