My child has an ear infection, and the doctor prescribed Amoxil 125mg/5ml Susp 100ml. It seems like a common antibiotic, but I'm wondering if anyone has tips on how to get my kid to take it without a fuss. I've tried mixing it with food, but it's been a challenge. Any advice would be great! Also, has anyone experienced any side effects? I want to be prepared.

If your child hates the taste, try hiding it in a small amount of applesauce or yogurt. Just make sure they finish it all. Trust the doctor, you must finish the full course.

My kid loved to drink it from the syringe. The bottle was really small, so we just used the little syringe that came with it. Maybe you could try that.

I'm a pediatrician, and I can assure you that Amoxil is generally safe and effective. Just follow the dosage instructions carefully and complete the full course.

Good luck! My kid had a tough time with it too. I ended up using a syringe to squirt it in the back of their mouth, but it was a fight every time.

My kid loved the medicine! We were lucky, but I know that's not the case for everyone. Just be patient and persistent. They'll be fine in no time.

We just had to tough it out. Give lots of praise afterward to make them feel like they did something great. Make sure to shake the bottle well before use.
