I've just been prescribed Aripiprazole 5mg Tablets for my bipolar disorder. My doctor says it should help manage my mood swings and irritability. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the more serious ones like seizures or muscle problems. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? I just stopped taking my meds cold turkey and now I feel like I've been hit by a truck. My doctor says don't expect to feel better right away, it takes time to get used to new medication.
Be careful with the weight gain side effect. I gained about 10 pounds in the first month. Regular exercise and a balanced diet helped me manage it.
