I was recently prescribed Azulfidine EN 500mg for my ulcerative colitis. I'm a bit nervous about starting a new medication, especially one with some serious potential side effects listed. Has anyone else taken this and can share their experiences? What should I expect in the first few weeks? Are there any tips for managing side effects? I'd really appreciate any insights or advice from others who have been through this.

I hope it goes well for you. I had some serious side effects and it wasn't worth it for me. I switched to a different medication and it's been better. Just be aware of the signs of an allergic reaction and liver problems. That could save your life.

It's working for me now, but it was a rocky start. I got a lot of headaches and skin reactions. Hang in there if you have a rough patch. It might get better.

I've been on Azulfidine EN for about a year now. It took a few weeks for my body to adjust but the side effects have been manageable. I've mostly experienced some stomach pain and headaches but nothing too severe. Make sure to take it with food and stay hydrated. It's also a good idea to monitor your blood tests regularly as it can affect your blood cells.

This medication can be tough on your kidneys, especially if you have pre-existing conditions. Stay hydrated and monitor your urine output. If you notice any blood in your urine or sudden weight gain, get to a doctor ASAP.

Good luck! I was on it for a couple of months and it helped control my symptoms. But I did have some skin irritation which was pretty scary, I had to stop taking it. It's important to be aware of the severe skin reactions. If you notice anything like that, go to the ER immediately.

Keep an eye on your blood tests. This medication can cause issues with your blood cells. If you feel extremely tired or weak, get checked out. Don't ignore those symptoms
