Hey everyone, I was recently prescribed Betapace AF 80mg for my atrial fibrillation. My doctor said it would help regulate my heart rhythm, but I'm nervous about the side effects and how it will affect me overall. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, any tips for managing side effects, and if you had any issues with it. I'm especially concerned about the severe side effects, like allergic reactions or worsening heart issues, so any insights on those would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Good luck! Just remember, everyone's experience is different. What works for one person might not work for another. Stay in close contact with your cardiologist.

Dude, I thought I was a zombie for the first week. Stick it out, after a week or so your symptoms should improve. I couldn't do much of anything but the symptoms started to fade after the first week.

I was really nervous about the side effects too, but my doctor walked me through everything. Betapace has definitely helped control my AFib. I noticed that excessive alcohol had a bad effect with my meds, so watch your drinking. It also causes a lot of dizziness and fatigue at first, but after a week my symptoms improved a lot.

I was really scared when I started this medication, but my doctor assured me that the benefits outweighed the risks for me. I haven't had any serious side effects, just some mild dizziness. Stay hydrated and listen to your body. Contact your doctor if you experience shortness of breath or weight gain, those can be signs of heart failure.

Be careful with this med – it can cause some serious issues if not monitored properly. Make sure your doctor is checking your electrolytes regularly. I had some issues with irregular heartbeats (bradycardia) and chest pains while on it.

I had a bad experience with Betapace. It made me feel really awful constantly dizzy and weak. I ended up switching to a different medication. If you feel bad, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor about other options.

Did your doctor tell you about the risk of Torsades de Pointes? It's a specific type of irregular heartbeat that can be life-threatening. I had no idea about it until I looked it up myself. Be sure to educate yourself on the risks. My wife had to learn this the hard way.

I've been on Betapace for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my AFib. The first few weeks were tough with some dizziness and fatigue, but it's gotten better. Just make sure to take it exactly as prescribed and keep those regular check-ups. If you experience chest pain see a doctor, just to be on the safe side!
