Just started Cyanocobalamin 1000mcg/ml injections for B12 deficiency – any tips or experiences to share?
I recently started getting Cyanocobalamin 1000mcg/ml injections for a B12 deficiency. My doctor recommended it after some blood tests showed I was running low, and I'm hoping it helps with my energy levels and overall health. Has anyone else had experience with these injections? I'm curious to know how long it took for you to see improvements, and if you had any side effects. I've read about some potential side effects, but my doctor assured me they are rare. I'm mostly just excited to feel better, and I can't wait to hear what others have gone through with these shots!

I got lucky and didn't have any issues. But I do recommend keeping an eye out for any sudden changes in your vision. Just to be safe.
How often are you getting the injections? I had mine weekly for a month, and then monthly after that./
I've been on these injections for a few months now, and they've been a game-changer for me. I felt more energized within a couple of weeks. Just make sure to eat a bit before your shots, if it's possible, to reduce any discomfort.
I didn't notice any serious side effects, but I did feel a bit dizzy after the first few injections. It went away quickly, though.
Be aware of the injection sites. I developed a bit of soreness, but it went away after a few days. Just rotate the sites and you should be fine.
My doctor recommended taking a B12 supplement in addition to the injections, but I'm not sure that's necessary for everyone.
Make sure to check your diet too. Sometimes just eating more B12-rich foods can make a big difference. But if your deficiency is severe, injections might be the best route.
I had some nerve issues that improved with the injections. Just make sure to tell your doctor if you experience any tingling or numbness, as it might be a side effect.
I had a friend who had a severe reaction to these shots. It's rare, but if you feel anything unusual, get to a doctor as soon as you can.
I wish these shots were covered by insurance. They're pretty expensive, but worth it in the long run.
