I was recently diagnosed with pernicious anemia and my doctor prescribed Cyanocobalamin 1000mcg/ml injections. I've been doing some reading and it seems to be great for what I need, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this? I'd love to hear some tips or warnings about what to expect. I know it's important to stay vigilant about serious side effects, like allergic reactions and signs of low potassium levels, but I'm also curious about the other possible side effects. How bad are the headaches and dizziness? Any advice on managing those would be super helpful.

Don't worry about the side effects too much. I've been on these injections for years and never had a problem. Just make sure you're getting regular check-ups and adjusting the dosage as needed with your doctor.

I've been on injections for a while now and I've lost count of the number of times I've been poked by a needle. It's no picnic but I can ascertain that it beats being severely B12 deficient!

I'm actually on the oral form of B12, but I hear the injections can be a bit tougher on the body. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have—they're there to help!

Definitely watch out for the symptoms of low potassium—muscle cramps and an abnormal heartbeat are no joke. If you start feeling weak or have any chest pain, call your doctor ASAP.
