I switched to this from another blood pressure medication and it has worked wonders. No side effects for me, but I know everyone is different. Keep an eye on your heart rate, though. Mine slowed down a bit at first.
I had a really bad reaction to this med. I ended up in the ER with a slow heartbeat and fainting spells. I'm not saying it will happen to you, but be careful and listen to your body.
I'm on the same dosage as you. I get some mild constipation, but that's it. Make sure you drink lots of water and maybe add some fiber to your diet. And don't forget to take it with food!
I had a friend who took this and had some weird skin reactions. Not fun. Probably worth checking in with your doctor regularly, just to be safe.

Be careful with grapefruit juice. It can interact with the medication and cause some serious issues. I learned that the hard way.
