I was prescribed Emverm 100mg Chewable Tablets to treat a pinworm infection. I've never taken this medication before and I'm a bit anxious about the side effects. The doctor assured me it's generally safe, but I want to hear from people who have actually used it. Have any of you taken Emverm for worm infections? How was your experience? Did you encounter any of the side effects listed, like stomach pain or difficulty urinating? I'm especially curious about the more serious side effects. I definitely don't want to end up in the hospital if I can avoid it. Also, any tips on making the chewable tablets more palatable? I'm not a fan of taking medications that require chewing. I'm hoping to get some real-world insights and advice on using Emverm effectively and safely.

Why does it say to not eat heavy meals? Easier said than done.

Did you ask your doctor about the possibility of a topical cream instead? I did, and haven't regretted it at all.

Just be sure to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. I didn’t and ended up with a reinfection. Not fun!

Honestly, I think the key is just to stay calm and follow your doctor's instructions. Don't forget to tell your doctor about any side effects, even if you think they're minor and might go away. If it doesn't cause any problems, you know it worked!

I'm glad I found this thread. I was prescribed Emverm for a suspected pinworm infection and I am petrified to take it. The side effects list is scary and it’s not something I want to deal with. Maybe I should try another solution. I'll be sure to ask my doctor.

I had to take Emverm for hookworms. Seemed to work fine, but I had some dark urine and thought that meant I was turning jaundiced, but apparently it was just some weird side-effect. Remind me to stay away from worms.

Emverm worked for me. I took it for a roundworm infection a few years ago. The worst side effect I had was some mild stomach upset, but it went away after a day. Stay hydrated and you should be fine. I thought the tablets seemed kind of sweet at first, which made it a little easier to take.
