Hi all, I've just begun using Firmagon 120mg injections for advanced prostate cancer and I'm looking for some insight and support. Anyone else out there using this? I was told it helps by reducing testosterone levels, which is supposed to slow down the cancer growth. The injections are given under the skin, usually in the stomach area—any tips on making this easier? The side effects list is a bit daunting, so I'm curious about what others have experienced. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who has been through this or has some advice to share.

I wish I had known about the bone pain earlier. I've been dealing with some pretty bad discomfort in my back and hips. Definitely worth mentioning to your doctor if you experience anything like that. I had overlooked it, and it got bad.

Definitely talk to your doctor if you're experiencing severe side effects. I had a bad reaction and they switched me to a different medication. Each body responds differently, so don't hesitate to advocate for yourself! My brother had a similar experience. The doctors were able to find a better fit that way.

I've been using Firmagon for a few months now, and the hot flashes are no joke. Make sure you have some fans and cooling pillows on hand! The injection site can be a little sore, but nothing I can't handle with some ibuprofen, I've had an incident of swelling I think I'm using a bit too much!

I've been lucky with minimal side effects so far, but I've heard from others that the high blood pressure can be scary. Keep an eye on that and make sure you're monitoring your blood pressure regularly. Better safe than sorry!

OMG yes the side effects are rough. I've had to adjust my diet and exercise routine to deal with the weight gain and joint pain. But honestly, it's worth it if it helps fight the cancer.

I found that injecting in a different spot every time helps with the soreness. I've been rotating between my stomach and thighs. Also, I've experienced some fatigue, but it's manageable. Just take it easy and listen to your body!

This stuff is no joke. I've been on it for a while and the biggest issue has been the erectile dysfunction. It's tough, but I gotta keep fighting. Anyone know if the side effects go away over time?
