I was just prescribed Glycophos 1mmol/ml Inj, 20ml for low phosphate levels. I'm getting this through IV as I'm currently on TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition). I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, advice, or any tips for managing the side effects if they come up. I'm also really curious to hear from anyone who has had the same treatment in the context of TPN. Thanks in advance!

I had severe dizziness and muscle weakness at the start, but it got better after a few days. Just remember, everyone's body reacts differently to medication. Stick with it for a while and hopefully you won't have any major issues.

My dad was on this for a while due to kidney issues. The constipation was the worst part for him, but managing it with a good diet and some over-the-counter remedies helped a lot. Also, make sure to report any side effects to the FDA. Every little bit helps with their tracking.

Has anyone experienced any changes in mood or energy levels while on this? I've been feeling a bit off, but I'm not sure if it's the medication or just the stress of being sick.

Stay vigilant with the side effects, especially the ones related to fluid and electrolyte problems. Dehydration is a big risk, so make sure to sip water regularly throughout the day.

Does anyone know if there are any long-term effects of using Glycophos? I'm worried about potential damage to my kidneys or other organs.

Be very careful with this stuff. I had a friend who ended up in the ER because of severe fluid and electrolyte problems. If you feel anything weird, don't wait it out—get to a doctor immediately.
