I've just been prescribed Glyset 25mg Tablets to help manage my Type 2 Diabetes. The doctor explained that it slows down the digestion of carbs to prevent blood sugar spikes, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Any tips on managing potential side effects like stomach pain or diarrhea would be much appreciated. Also, I'm curious if anyone has had issues with low blood sugar while taking Glyset. Just want to be prepared!

Thanks in advance for any insights or advice!

I've been on Glyset for a while, and I can say that the low blood sugar thing is real. I take it with other diabetes meds, and I've had to be super careful. Keep glucose on hand, and you'll be fine.

I'm not sure about the relevance of Glyset in today's diabetes management. Newer medications seem to have fewer side effects and better results. But hey, if it works for you, go for it.

I switched to Glyset after my doctor said my current meds weren't cutting it. I've had some diarrhea, but I've been managing it by sticking to a more carb-controlled diet. It's a pain, but I feel like my blood sugar is more stable.

I tried Glyset for a couple of weeks but the stomach pain was too much. Ended up going back to my old meds, but it's worth a shot if you're struggling with blood sugar control.

I've had no issues with Glyset. The side effects aren't that bad, and my blood sugar is much better controlled. Just make sure to take it right before you eat, and you should be okay.

I've been on Glyset for about 6 months now. It's been great for controlling my post-meal blood sugar spikes. Just make sure to take it right before you eat. As for side effects, I've had some gas and occasional stomach pain, but nothing too bad. It's worth it for the better blood sugar control.

I've been on Glyset for a while and it's been a lifesaver for my blood sugar. Just be aware of the potential for low blood sugar if you're taking other diabetes meds. I've had to adjust my dosages a bit, but overall, it's been worth it.
