Hi everyone, I was just prescribed Hydralazine 100mg tablets to manage my high blood pressure. My doctor said it works by relaxing the blood vessels, which sounds great, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Also, any tips for managing side effects would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I was on Hydralazine for a while and it really helped lower my blood pressure. I didn't have any major side effects, just a bit of dizziness sometimes. Stick with it if it works for you, but keep an eye out for anything unusual. And yeah, definitely report anything concerning to your doctor.

Have you asked your doctor about other medications or lifestyle changes that could help manage your blood pressure? Sometimes a combination of approaches works best.

How often do you take it? I take it twice a day and it makes me feel lightheaded sometimes. Is that normal?

I had a friend who took Hydralazine and had to switch because of some weird skin reactions. Make sure you know the signs of an allergic reaction.

I took this stuff for a while but it didn't agree with me. The side effects were just too much. My blood pressure is still high off and on but I like my old self better than being all dizzy and nauseous all the time. Maybe you'll be fine.
