I was recently prescribed Jentadueto 2.5mg/850mg to help manage my type 2 diabetes. I've heard it can be effective, but I'm also aware of the potential side effects. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. How did you handle any side effects? Did you notice significant improvements in your blood sugar levels? What tips do you have for managing this medication alongside other aspects of diabetes care? Any advice for new users would be greatly appreciated!

Jentadueto is a combination of linagliptin and metformin, which work together to manage blood sugar levels. It's important to follow your doctor's instructions and monitor your blood sugar regularly.

Make sure to take it with food. It can help with nausea. I also found that staying hydrated helped a lot with side effects.

Did your doctor explain the importance of monitoring for lactic acidosis? It's rare, but serious.

This might be a silly question, but I've heard that lactic acidosis can be fatal. Is that something I need to worry about, or is it extremely rare?

I was on this for a while but had to switch due to severe joint pain. It was debilitating. But for others, it might be fine.

How often do you check your blood sugar? I usually check it a few times a day. But I heard you can check less when your sugar is stable.

I've heard this medication can cause headaches. Anybody else experience that? I am already prone to headaches, so I'm a bit worried.

I switched to Jentadueto from just metformin, and the combination has been a game-changer. My A1C levels dropped significantly. But yes, be prepared for some initial stomach upset. It's worth it in the long run though.
