I've just been prescribed Lamictal ODT 50-100mg Tb Kit Green for my bipolar disorder. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the rash. Does anyone have any advice on managing the initial dose increase? Also, what are the earliest signs of side effects to watch out for?

Lamictal is great, but holy... the rash. I ended up in the ER. Seriously, be careful and know the signs.

I had a bad headache and blurred vision initially. It went away after a while. This medication has made a huge difference in my life.

I had a pretty bad rash when I first started. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice anything. Also, Lamictal really helped stabilize my mood, so worth it if you can get past the first bit.

Be on the lookout for any signs of an allergic reaction. The rash can be really bad, but if you catch it early, you can manage it. Good luck!

I was on Lamictal for a while, and the key is to increase the dose slowly. The first few weeks were rough, but it got better. Good luck!

Just wanted to say, this medication has helped me a lot. I hated feeling like I was on a rollercoaster of emotions. Hope it does the same for you!

My advice, take it with food. It makes the side effects a lot better. Hang in there, it should get better soon.

Just want to ask the people who have taken this: how long did the side effects last and was it worth it in the end?

I had some pretty bad side effects at first. Dizziness and drowsiness were the worst. Talk to your doctor, they may be able to help with that.
