I was recently prescribed Lamotrigine ER 25mg to help stabilize my mood. I've been on it for about a week now, and I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. What kind of impact has it had on your seizure control or mood stabilization? What side effects, if any, did you develop? How long did it take for the medication to really kick in? I'd love to hear any advice or personal experiences you have. I'm hoping it will work well for me, but I'm also aware of the possible side effects. I'd be interested in knowing about how others managed any side effects that they did encounter and if Lamotrigine ER has improved their quality of life. Thanks in advance for sharing your stories and insights!

I had a friend hit with severe chest pain at the beginning of his course, be careful!

I took Lamotrigine ER for a year. It helped a little but I experienced some severe side effects like rash and joint pain. Had to stop taking it, sadly. I have a rare condition so it may be a different story for some people.

I've been on Lamotrigine ER for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for my bipolar disorder. It took a few weeks to really start feeling the effects, but now my moods are much more stable. I did experience some dizziness and fatigue at first, but those side effects eventually went away. Definitely give it time to work! It’s also a good idea to keep your doctor updated on how you're feeling.

I was really skeptical at first, but Lamotrigine ER has genuinely improved my life. I used to have multiple episodes a month, but now I'm lucky if I have one every few months. Did experience some back pain and constipation at the beginning, which is now gone. Just wish my insurance covered more of it.
