Just started Leucovorin Calcium 15mg Tablets for my methotrexate treatment. Anyone else on here have experience with this?
I've been prescribed Leucovorin Calcium 15mg Tablets to help protect my healthy cells while I'm on methotrexate. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone else here taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, whether good or bad. Any tips on managing side effects would be appreciated too. I'm especially curious about how it interacts with methotrexate and if anyone has noticed any improvements in their treatment.

I've been taking Leucovorin for a while and honestly, I don't notice much. I do feel a little better, like a stroller through mud rather than getting stuck in it.
I haven't had any major issues with it, but I did notice some rashes at first. Talk to your doc if you notice anything like that, better safe than sorry.
I just started Leucovorin and so far so good. I'm hoping it helps with the methotrexate side effects though. Nausea is the worst.
I really hope it works for you and that you don't have any issues. The anxiety over the side effects is real. Make sure to take lots of notes and report everything to your doctor. As a nurse I've seen the worst side effects come out of nowhere, so be vigilant and contact your doctor regularly!
I've been on it for a while and I've noticed no improvement in my methotrexate treatment. It did help me feel a little better though.
I had to stop taking it because of the dizzy spells. It was so scary, I was passing out and everything. Just be careful, everyone's different.
I've been on Leucovorin for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. My doc told me it helps to counteract the side effects of the methotrexate. I haven't had any major issues, just a bit of nausea sometimes.
