I've just been prescribed Methotrexate 250mg/10ml for my rheumatoid arthritis. I've read about the possible side effects, but I'd love to hear from others who have been on this medication. What was your experience like? How long did it take to see improvements? What side effects did you encounter? Did you have any tips for managing them? My doctor mentioned it can take a few weeks to kick in, but I’m anxious about the potential side effects. Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck! I was nervous too, but it turned out okay. Just listen to your body and stay in close touch with your doctor. The side effects are manageable.

It saved my life, but it's a rough road. I had some crazy side effects, but nothing that regular checkups couldn't handle.

I had a pretty rough start with Methotrexate. The fatigue was insane, and I felt really sick. But after a few weeks, things started to improve. I'd recommend breaking up your dose if you can—take a smaller amount more frequently to ease into it. Also, your doctor should have you take folic acid supplements to help with the side effects. It really helped me.

I've heard it has some serious side effects, but it sounds like most people can manage them with good doctor support. Stay positive, and hopefully, it works for you!

Stick to it and keep monitoring. It’s worth it if it works for you. Trust your doctor to manage side effects.

This stuff is a lifesaver for me. I had severe psoriasis that didn't respond to other treatments. Methotrexate made a huge difference, but I had to be very careful with monitoring my liver function. Regular blood tests are a must.

I started Methotrexate a year ago. The first few weeks were tough with nausea and hair loss, but it got better. I expected worse side effects, but it was manageable. I did have to switch from oral to injections because of stomach issues, but it's been worth it. My RA symptoms have significantly improved.

I've been on Methotrexate for 3 years now. At first, I struggled with fatigue and loss of appetite, but it got better. My psoriasis improved a lot but I did have to be careful. Always get blood tests. Trust your doctor and call if you feel something bad right away.

Methotrexate is intense. I had severe stomach issues and hair loss, but it’s cleared up. Make sure you listen to your doctor. It’s a life-changer. Stay strong!

I've been on Methotrexate for a couple of years now. It definitely helped with my RA symptoms, but the first few months were tough. I had some nausea and fatigue, but it got better over time. Make sure to stay hydrated and eat well—it helps a lot. Oh, and definitely take folic acid as recommended by your doctor; it can help with some of the side effects.
