Just started Metoprolol Tartrate 100mg for high blood pressure - any tips or experiences to share?
I was recently prescribed Metoprolol Tartrate 100mg for high blood pressure. My doctor explained that it's a beta-blocker and will help slow down my heart rate and relax my blood vessels. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the urgent ones like low blood sugar and allergies. I've had no problems at all. It's just a part of my daily routine now. But I agree, keep an eye on those side effects. Better safe than sorry.

I was really nervous about the slow heartbeat, but it's not as bad as I thought. Just monitor it as your doc says and you'll be fine.
I had some really bad side effects when I first started. My doctor switched me to a different beta-blocker and I felt so much better. If you're not feeling right, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor.
Just a heads up, don't stop taking it suddenly. It can be dangerous. If you need to stop, talk to your doctor first.
I wish they'd tell you about the weird dreams. I've been having the strangest dreams since I started this stuff.
