I was recently prescribed Micardis HCT 80/25mg for my high blood pressure. I've been reading up on the potential side effects, and I'm a bit worried, I've noticed some minor dizziness and tiredness the first week, but nothing too bad. I've also been careful to stay hydrated and avoid being out in the sun for long periods, just in case. Has anyone else tried this medication and is willing to share their experiences and tips? Suggestions on managing minor issues or avoiding more serious ones are also welcome.

I've been on this drug for years and it's been a life saver. It's kept my blood pressure in check and I've had no serious side effects. Best of luck to you.

I’m curious, did your doctor explain the option to monitor your kidney function? It’s one of the potential concerns with hydrochlorothiazide.

I've been on Micardis HCT for a couple of months now, and it's been a godsend. No major side effects, just a bit of occasional dizziness. Stay hydrated, and you should be good to go!

I'm on the same medication and have noticed some minor stomach upset. I just make sure to take it with food and it seems to help.

I think you'll be fine. Just pay attention to any major side effects, and you'll be good.

I see a lot of people complaining about dizziness. It's a common side effect, so talk to your doctor about it. They might adjust the dose. Good luck!

I've been on Micardis HCT for a while, and I must say, it's not a bad experience. I take it every morning and use it to remind myself to drink a full glass of water each morning.

I wish I had something more positive to say but I had to stop taking it. My doctor prescribed it after a bad kidney infection, and I got blood in my urine and some other symptoms but it could be anything.

I had some bad reactions to the hydrochlorothiazide in the past, so I'm a little nervous about taking this. What are the odds that I'll have issues again?

If you're feeling dizzy, make sure to stand up slowly. It helps with the lightheadedness. And don't forget to monitor your blood pressure regularly.
