Just started Morphine Sul 20mg/5ml (4mg/ml) Sol for chronic pain - any advice or shared experiences?
I've been prescribed Morphine Sul 20mg/5ml (4mg/ml) Sol for managing my chronic pain. I've heard a lot about opioids, but I don't know what to expect. Has anyone else used this medication? I'm curious about the effectiveness, side effects, and how it has impacted daily life. Any tips on managing side effects or advice on what to discuss with my doctor would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like people think opioids are evil, but for people in real pain, they can be a godsend. Just use them responsibly and communicate with your doctor.
Just started it myself. The dizziness is insane. I can barely stand up. Anyone else having this issue?
I've been on various opioids for years. The key is staying in contact with your doctor and being honest about side effects and how well your pain is managed.
I switched to a patch. Same medication but it releases slowly throughout the day. Made a huge difference for me.
I wish people would stop acting like anyone who takes opioids is an addict. Some of us just need help managing real pain.
I switched to a different opioid because I was always so drowsy on this one. It helped with the pain but I couldn't function during the day.
I've been on it for a few months now. It's helped with the pain but I've had some nasty constipation. Stool softeners and lots of water have been a lifesaver.
Be careful with this stuff. It's really strong and can be addictive. Make sure you're talking to your doctor regularly.
I've been on this for years. One thing that helped me was setting a schedule instead of just taking it as needed. It helped with the drowsiness and made it easier to manage pain.
