Just started Mysoline 50mg for epilepsy - side effects and experiences?
I was recently prescribed Mysoline 50mg tablets to help manage my epilepsy. I've been on it for about a week now and I'm experiencing some dizziness and fatigue. I'm just trying to figure out what to expect from this medication. Has anyone else taken Mysoline and how did you cope with the side effects? Are there any tips for managing them? I'm also a bit concerned about the more serious side effects listed. How common are these? Thanks in advance for any insights or advice!

My doctor told me that Mysoline can cause some weird side effects, but it's all about how your body responds to it. If you’re not feeling right, trust your instincts and talk to your doctor.
I found that taking Mysoline with food helped with the nausea. Just a tip – it might help you too.
I had some vision changes at first. It freaked me out, but my doctor said it's normal for some people. Make sure to get your eyes checked regularly if you notice any changes.
I've been on Mysoline for a few months now. The dizziness goes away after a few weeks. Make sure to talk to your doctor about it. Good luck!
Dang, that sucks. I know someone who was on Mysoline and they were a zombie for the first month. Hang in there, it should get better.
I've heard horror stories about the suicidal thoughts. If you start feeling really down, please reach out to someone. It's serious.
Dizziness and fatigue are pretty common at the start. Give it some time and talk to your neuro about it. Maybe they can adjust the dosage so that it’s more comfortable for you.
Mysoline is a weird one. It worked for my seizures but the side effects were brutal. Stick it out if you can, but if it's too much, talk to your doctor.
How often are you taking it? I was on it twice a day and the dizziness was awful. My doctor switched me to once a day and it’s much better.
