Just started Oxycodone/acetaminophen 5-325mg - any tips or experiences to share?
Hey everyone, I was just prescribed Oxycodone/acetaminophen 5-325mg for some post-surgery pain management. I've never taken anything this strong before, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else taken this? What was your experience like? Any tips for managing the side effects or advice on how to take it safely? I really appreciate any insights you can share. I know it's important to follow the prescription exactly, but I'd love to hear from people who have been there.

I had a bad reaction to these – got really itchy and broke out in hives. If you start to feel weird, don't wait – get to the ER. Better safe than sorry.
Be careful with these – they can be addictive. I had a friend who got hooked and it was a nightmare. Take them exactly as prescribed and don't take more than you need.
Listen to your body. If something feels off, it probably is. And don't be afraid to ask your doctor questions if you're unsure about anything.
I had to take these after my surgery and they were a godsend. Just make sure to be careful when driving or operating machinery. They can make you really drowsy.
I took these for a few weeks and they helped a lot with the pain, but I did have some issues with digestion. Make sure you're taking it with food – that helped me a lot.
I was on these for a while after my knee surgery. They worked great for the pain, but I did have some bad constipation. Make sure you're eating lots of fiber and staying hydrated. Also, don't mix with alcohol – it can be dangerous.
Dont follow the script, take it only when you absolutely have to. Youre in control of your health, not the doctors.
I had some weird dreams and mood swings when I took these. Nothing too bad, but it's something to be aware of. Also, if you ever feel like you can't breathe or get really dizzy, call your doctor right away.
Why even take this garbage? Just deal with the pain on your own and use over the counter stuff. Just say no to drugs.
