Hello everyone,

I was recently prescribed Posaconazole 40mg/ml Suspension to treat a fungal infection. My doctor said it's crucial to take it with food to ensure proper absorption, but I'm not sure what kinds of food will work best. I've heard that high-fat meals can interfere with certain medications, so I'm a bit confused. Has anyone else taken this medication and found a good way to incorporate it into their diet without compromising its effectiveness?

I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences you can share. Thanks!

Also, if anyone can confirm whether the grape flavor tastes as bad as it sounds, that would be appreciated too. Thanks, everyone!

I took Posaconazole for a few months and found that taking it with a high-fat meal (like a cheeseburger) helped with absorption. However, I also experienced some stomach upset, so be prepared for that. My doctor also suggested taking it regularly at the same time every day to maintain a consistent level of the drug in my system.

I took this for a while and found that taking it with a high-fat, high-protein meal (like a burger with a side of fries) worked best. My doctor also suggested taking it regularly at the same time every day to maintain a consistent level of the drug in my system. One thing to note, however, is that it can cause some stomach upset, so be prepared for that.

Grapes are great, not all flavored medicines are created equal. Make sure to check with your doctor about any specific dietary restrictions while you're on this medication. But I'm sure you'll find a way to make it work for you.

High fat foods definitely help, but be careful with the grape flavor. I found that it made me feel nauseous if I didn't pair it with the right foods. Try taking it with a high-fat meal, just make sure to avoid anything that might upset your stomach.

Be careful with grape flavored medicines, they can be hit or miss. But yes, high-fat foods do help with absorption. Just make sure you're not taking it with something that will upset your stomach.
