Just started Profe 180mg Capsules for Iron Deficiency Anemia – Any Tips or Experiences?
I've just been prescribed Profe 180mg Capsules to treat my iron deficiency anemia. I've read about the possible side effects and am a bit nervous. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? I'm curious to know if the side effects are as bad as they sound, and if there's anything I can do to mitigate them. Any advice on how to take the pills? Should I take them with food or on an empty stomach, and does it matter what time of day I take them? Thanks in advance for any insights!

I took iron supplements before and they always gave me horrible stomach cramps. I switched to Profe and it's been a game-changer. No more cramps, just feeling better overall. Highly recommend!
Be careful with the side effects, I had some constipation but it went away after a while. Just drink lots of water if you have that issue.
I switched to Profe after trying a different iron supplement and it's been way better for me. No nasty side effects like constipation or an upset stomach. Just take it as prescribed and you should be fine.
I take Profe and I swear it's given me the runs every day. I dunno. Maybe I'm just sensitive to it. I have to take an overdose of Immodium if I don't want to be glued to the toilet.
I had a really bad reaction to Profe. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. I'm not saying this to scare you, but be aware of the signs of an allergic reaction and seek medical help if you notice anything weird.
