I was just prescribed Sterapred DS 10mg for my asthma and I'm on my second day of taking it. I've already noticed some increased appetite and trouble sleeping. Has anyone else had issues with these side effects? How bad does it get? I'm a bit worried about the more serious side effects listed, like mood changes and high blood sugar. It's a bit scary to think about. How common are these side effects? Any tips for managing them?

I've been on prednisone for a couple of months now due to my allergies. The increased appetite is real, but I've found that eating smaller, more frequent meals helps. As for the sleep issues, try not to take it too close to bedtime. It helped me a lot!

Prednisone can be tough. I had some mood swings and weight gain on it. Just keep an eye on your symptoms and talk to your doctor if anything gets too bad. You'll get through it!

I've had prednisone for arthritis. I didn't get the serious side effects, but I felt more tired and weak. It's a strong drug, so just be careful. If you notice anything weird, talk to your doctor right away.

For the increased appetite, try snacking on healthy stuff like vegetables and fruits. It helps to keep the cravings under control. I also found that light exercise helped with the restlessness.

Seriously, prednisone is no joke. Stay in touch with your doctor and report any side effects. It's usually worth it for the relief it brings, but it's important to be monitored.

Just finished a course of prednisone for a flare-up of my skin condition, and by the end, I felt like a completely different person. It is a strong drug, stay safe.
