Just started Suprax 200mg/5ml Suspension for a nasty ear infection. Anyone else been through this?
So, I've been prescribed Suprax 200mg/5ml Suspension for an ear infection that just won't quit. I've taken a few doses already, and I'm just hoping to get some insights from others who've been through this. How long did it take for the ear pain to go away? I know it's important to finish the entire course, but I'm not feeling too great at the moment. Any tips on managing the side effects? Thanks in advance for any advice!

I took it for a throat infection and it was a lifesaver, but it left my stomach in knots the whole time. Keep up the water intake and maybe some gummy bears to get through the taste. It was not good.
I had some serious allergic reactions when I took it. If you notice any swelling or rash, get to a doctor immediately. I remember getting a rash and it was nasty. But it killed the infection. Just finished my course, starting to feel better now. I'm sure you will too. I just hope the diarrhea doesn’t get too bad for you.
I don’t know about you guys, but I couldn't even stomach the taste. Had to mix it with some orange juice to get it down. But it worked like a charm for my bronchitis. Just keep at it, and you'll be feeling better in no time. Oh, and watch for the rash. It can be a bit scary if you don’t know what to expect. And also sudden weight gain. Not good.
Be careful with this stuff. I had a bad reaction and ended up with hives all over. Had to go to the ER. Hope that doesn’t happen to you. I hope you feel better soon. But seriously, pay attention to what your body is telling you.
Cefixime is surprisingly effective, but the side effects can be tough. I had some severe diarrhea, so keep an eye out for that. Make sure to finish the entire course, even if you feel better. The infection might come back if you don’t. Take it from me. Also, diarrhea is a thing you don't want to mess with, so contact your doctor if it gets bad.
I had to take it for a severe case of bronchitis and I had a hard time swallowing the whole dose, but it was worth it. It helped me feel better, really fast. I know the taste is awful, but it’s worth the side effects you can manage. I just drank it with some apple juice. Made it a lot more bearable, but it was really hard on my stomach.
It was a lifesaver for my UTI. I was in agony, and it cleared it up in no time. But the side effects weren’t fun. I had some serious stomach pain. Maybe take some tums or something to help with that. I hope you feel better soon.
I had a similar experience with Suprax but the only thing I can remember is that it was a good antibiotic and worked really quickly. I’m sure it will start working for you soon. Keep taking those doses. Hang in there!
