I've just started using Tacrolimus 0.1% Ointment for my severe eczema. I was really struggling with the itching and redness, and my doctor recommended this as a non-steroidal alternative. I'm already experiencing some relief, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this ointment? What was your experience like? Any tips for application or dealing with side effects would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on it for a while, and honestly, it's worth the risk of side effects for the relief it provides. Just keep an eye out for any skin infections and make sure to use it consistently. Eczema flares can be brutal, and this stuff has been a lifesaver.

Good news - I was worried about the kidney problems listed in the side effects, but my doctor said that's really rare. Just keep an eye out for any changes in urination or sudden weight gain.

It's a bit pricey, but if your insurance covers it, it's worth the cost. I was fortunate that my prescription was covered by my insurance, so I didn’t have to worry about the cost.

I've been using Tacrolimus ointment for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my eczema. It definitely helped reduce the inflammation and itching. I did experience some skin irritation at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. Just make sure to apply it as directed and keep the area clean.

Yikes, the side effects list is pretty scary. I'm glad to hear it's working for you so far, though. Just be really careful and monitor for any serious symptoms.

Has anyone noticed if their skin feels weird after using it? Like it feels like the skin becomes a bit stretched? Also - does anyone know if I can use it to stop eczema in my scalp?

I used this ointment for my daughter who has atopic dermatitis. It's been amazing. Make sure to apply it at least twice a day, especially after a bath or shower. It helped keep her eczema under control, which had been impossible with other creams. The only side effect we noticed was some mild skin tingling, but it wasn't too bad.

It's also important to note that you should avoid direct sunlight or use sunscreen while using this ointment. The skin becomes more sensitive to UV rays. I learned this the hard way
